Some cities get under your skin.
Dubai got under our crust.
In January 2024, Holy Burek opened its second branch — right on the premium stretch of Jumeirah Road, where sunshine meets style and cravings don’t take days off.
And this wasn’t a franchise. This was personal. This was us.
Not Just an Opening — A Winter Migration.
While most people escape winter with a suitcase, we arrived with something slightly heavier: Dough. Butter and the Dubrovnik team.
Anna and Sedi officially moved to Dubai for the season, bringing the original Holy Burek crew from their first home in Dubrovnik to open this new chapter properly — the holy way.
Because if we were going to do Dubai…We were going to do it ourselves.
Jumeirah, Meet the Flake
Jumeirah Road is known for premium taste, beautiful energy, and people who know what’s good. So naturally, it was ready for burek. Hand-stretched dough. Organic ingredients. No industrial nonsense. Rolled fresh in front of you. Baked immediately. Served hot enough to make you believe in miracles.
Dubai doesn’t do ordinary — and neither do we. Training the Next Generation of Dough Believers, this opening wasn’t just about launching a store. It was about building a team. We trained new hands in the art of rolling. We passed down technique the way it’s always been passed down — person to person, layer by layer, with patience and flour on everything. Holy Burek isn’t something you simply learn from a manual. It’s something you inherit. Dubrovnik Soul, Dubai Energy. Opening in Dubai felt like watching tradition step into the future without losing itself. Same soul. Same dough. Same devotion. Just with palm trees outside and matcha-latte people discovering burek for the first time.
So, The Holy Mission Continues. From Dubrovnik to Jumeirah Road, this second branch was proof of something we’ve always believed: Burek belongs on a world stage.
Not as a cheap snack.
But as pastry with a soul.
Dubai was only the beginning.
And yes…
The flakes are still flying.
